Hollymead Farm, established in 2005, is located in the foothills region of North Carolina. The climate and rolling hills are ideal for riding and raising young horses. We are always happy to have visitors and enjoy talking about our horses.

We are dedicated to breeding safe, sane and sound Irish Draught horses and Connemara ponies. After years of riding and breeding other types of horses, we found the Irish temperament suits our life style the best. Our mares are from performance bloodlines and are trained for both riding and driving. They are quiet to handle and easily ridden by novice riders, yet possess the athleticism to participate in a variety of disciplines.

Autumn at Hollymead Farm is truly a photographer's delight. The mountains are vibrant and the trails in the higher elevations are the perfect way to see the leaves change color. Since Irish horses are happiest when being ridden cross country, we often visit a nearby state park in Blowing Rock, NC for scenic trail rides.
